I Sit Down To Have A Chat With A Good Friend About His Business In Orange County

If you have done as much traveling as me, then you know how much a good and comfortable bathroom can mean the difference between feeling safe and comfortable and roughing it. One of the many things I have learned in my recent travels in the States is that, when you are on the road, a good bathroom is hard to come by.  I wanted to outline what are some of the things that I look for when I am in the market for a portable toilet and I’m going to do so in this article with the help of my good friend Oliver, who actually owns his own porta potty rental company in Orange County CA.

Ollie and I met years back when he was backpacking in Scotland and us because of fast friends. As luck would have it when I found my self calling in favors on my trip across the United States, Ollie was there to help me and gave me a place to stay. While with him I thought I would pick his brain on his business and see if I could help out my readers with some important information if they ever find themselves hosting an outdoor event or need a bathroom for a construction site.

Harris: So Oliver, what are some of the things that people should know when they are looking to rent a portable toilet?
Oliver:  Well Harris one thing I would want to say to people before they even start thinking about the portable toilet is the time frame.  Most portable toilet companies operate with his strict amount of portable toilets that they lease out to customers. A lot of The Times they don't want to carry too many portable toilets in their back house so it's a delicate balance of timing So one thing I would advise right off the batt is to call in advanced maybe a few weeks in advance when you looking to rent a portable toilet to make sure that the company is going to have what you need.

Harris: That's sound advice. What kind of porta potties are most people looking for?
Oliver:  To be honest most people would be just fine with a standard porta potty. I say that because most of the calls that I get are people that are holding charity events or having a company barbecue. Believe it or not, portable toilets have come a long way in the past 10 years and most of the toilets that you'll see on a construction site or at an outdoor event will be comfortable they won't smell that bad and will be robust. Now if you're looking for something that will simulate a normal toilet you are probably looking for a more deluxe flushable toilet.
Those are great for restaurants that are Renovating their bathrooms and need a quick solution that will keep their customers happy while the construction is underway.

Harris: Well that's good to know. How many do you recommend people get for the size of there event?
Oliver: Well that depends on a couple of factors Harris. For instance, is food going to be served at this event? Is it going to last all day or into the night or is it just going to be a few hours but it for a typical family barbecue we think that 1 porta potty would be fined for about 50 people. Now that actually changes if you're going to be serving alcohol because most people are going to need to go to the bathroom once they start drinking. If you're gonna have a large event with over 100 people where food and drinks will be served we recommend 2 or even 3 portable restrooms depending on the length of the event.

Harris: Gotcha, so then if the person has a good idea of the type and how many porta potties they would need for a one night or for a few days, how about the folks that are looking for more permanent structures?
Oliver:  That's a good question. if we're talking about a construction site that could be operational for months on end our service had or OC Porta Potties does provide Porter potties for long periods of time. We have a service that will come out and clean out the tanks and even clean the inside and the outside of the porta-potty on a weekly basis so that your toilet can stay hygenic. The last thing anyone wants is a smelly toilet on a construction site. But if you're out looking to actually purchase a porta potty that's kind of a different story. Most porta potty rental companies like mine will only rent out Porter potties and you'll need to buy a porta potty for a campsite from a wholesaler. But even then our services can still be called to come and help you clean out and maintain your portable toilet
